Why ceilings grow mould
- Aircon condensation. Cold ceilings near aircon units collect moisture, the most frequent cause.
- Leaks and seepage. A hidden pipe leak, roof seepage or water from the unit above keeps the ceiling wet.
- Poor ventilation. Trapped humid air in closed rooms settles on the ceiling.
Condensation or a leak?
This matters. If the mould is from condensation, surface treatment and anti-mould protection resolve it. If it is from a leak or seepage, the water source has to be repaired first or the mould will return. We use moisture meters and inspection to tell the difference before recommending treatment.

Why does my ceiling mould keep coming back?

Is ceiling mould dangerous?
